Career Summary

Over twenty five years of Mechanical Engineering with hands on experience in all aspects of project

execution, design and selection of mechanical and process equipment. Majority of project experience

is in oil and gas industry, specifically in building new plants (refinery, power, pipeline) and modifying

existing ones to increase efficiency and to meet customer demands to be competitive.

Project responsibilities ranged from understanding client requirements to design and fabrication of

mechanical and process equipment and to manage the overall execution of the project from it's

inception through start up.

Project responsibilities also included ability to perform ASME code calculations using software like

compress, PV Elite etc., to design pressure vessels.

To develop, interpret and optimize P&ID's and bills of materials.

To review the project against customer requirements for quality, accuracy and safety.

To make and maintain project schedules, develop, supervise and approve the issue of all project

documents including shipping lists, Operation and Maintenance manuals, spare part lists etc.,

To communicate through out all organizational levels, including clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

To develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive during estimating phase.

Project Engineer / Manager 2007- Current

Responsible for the design and fabrication of Indirect water bath heaters, Pressure vessels like

Horizontal and Vertical filters / Separators / Slug catchers, Scrubbers, 2 & 3 phase separators, Glycol

Dehydration units and associated mechanical equipment for oil and natural gas plants.

Responsibilities included managing the overall execution of the project from inception to start up.

Responsibilities included estimate development, project schedule adherence, implementation of

project specific requirements, including general management of engineering performance on assigned

projects.

Responsibilities included designing Pressure Vessels as per ASME Section VIII, Div 1, performing code

calculations using Compress, sizing of mechanical parts etc.,

To develop, supervise and approve the issue of all project documents.

To develop and manage project schedules using MS Projects.

Responsible for generating P&ID's, mark-up of P&ID's for construction and As-Built.

Responsible for selecting instrumentation and sizing pressure relief valves & regulators, Selection of

level gauges, level switches, regulators, temperature and pressure transmitters, flow meters and other

instruments.
