Analyze millions of electronic health records for temporal associations between drugs, diseases,
devices, and procedures that enable us to perform: off-label drug use profiling, severe adverse
drug event detection, and comparative effectiveness of alternative treatment trajectories. Publish,

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Stanford 2010 2012
Develop tools and services that enable researchers in biomedicine to use ontologies for
intelligent information systems. Efficiently manage nearly 100-billion records. Perform meta-
analyses of diverse biomedical repositories including electronic medical records to drive
decision-making. Develop productive collaborations with biomedical researchers from Harvard,
MIT, and other leading institutions from around the world. Publish, present, and review relevant

architecture, a database technology used by customers such as Walmart and Goldman Sachs.

very large and globally distributed workforce (300,000 employees, 600 DB2 engineers).
