Mr. Elmore consults with clients on financial, economic, accounting and technology issues across a
Professional
variety of industries and types of businesses, with particular emphasis on the valuation and analysis
Experience
of intellectual property. He has conducted valuations of patents, businesses, and software assets, as
well as conducted economic analysis on dispute matters related to patent infringement, trademark
and trade dress infringement, theft of trade secrets, false advertising, cyberpiracy, unfair competition,
breach of contract, and business interruption. He has testified in deposition and at trial in state and
federal court as both a technical and an economic damages expert.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Elmore served as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent &
Trademark Office where his patent examinations focused on computer and network technology.
Before joining the USPTO, Mr. Elmore served as Chief Technology Officer of a technology startup
company. In his technical career, Mr. Elmore has served with a number of companies and
organizations in various technical positions. He is an inventor with two computer-related utility
patents pending.
