Objective: Fulltime employment as a Computer Programmer Willing to
relocate
Qualifications: 10+ years experience on Unisys/Burroughs B1000 and
A-Series Mainframes. 7 years as a Cobol programmer on Unisys A-6
mainframe Experienced with CANDE, DMSII, WFL Work Experience:
July

-PresentSt. Johns County School District St. Augustine, Florida
Computer Programmer Unisys
A-Series Cobol, WFL, DMSII 1988-Present
Duties include writing and maintaining Cobol programs for Financial,
Staffing and Payroll DMSII databases, and WFL code to process the
programs. Programs consisting of Payroll and Accounts Payable
processing, W2 reporting, 1099 reporting, extraction of data for state
reporting requirements, Financial status reports and various other
programming requests as assigned.
Some of the programs that I have written are as follows: For the
Payroll system I have written an employee audit program that lists all
of the employee's demographic information, deduction information and
benefit information. This program also lists information of specific
pay checks and/or a range of pay checks. I have also writtena report
that accumulates all amounts needed for reporting the 941 quarterly
report to the IRS. This program also creates data files to allow
printing of the W2's for employees at the end of the year and the data
file that is sent to the IRS with W2 information. For the Financial
system I wrote a program that lists all of the detail information that
has been posted to the budget code. This program provides our
Financial Department with the exact information concerning all
transactions on a single budget line, all budget lines or a range of
budget lines with various ranges. I have also written a program that
runs every night via a WFL job. It verifies that the budget lines
match their detail information.
These are a few samples of my Cobol coding. I also do numerous data
extraction programs for porting data to spread sheets, word processing
and other mainframe platforms. The majority of my programming tasks
are maintaining programs and writing quick reports and data
extractions. I also use a 4GL language called Impulse to generate
reports against the DMSII databases. I have also used MAGIC, which is
a rapid application development software, on a PC platform.
Although I am primarily a programmer I also assist in troubleshooting
data communications and printing trouble. Our shop current uses
sandard Unisys TDI,TCPIP and HLCN for communications. We support over
one hundred and fifty local and remote users.
