Selected Achievements
Significantly improved organizational effectiveness. Overhauled leadership team by 70% to become a highly effective and accountable team, improving process efficacy early and highly compliant (CMMI level 5 two years early at $4M cost savings; Six Sigma savings of $130M annually in a $4.5B business), Achieved outstanding customer focus and satisfaction with 25% YoY quality improvements and the trust of our independent auditors. Organizational improvements flowed into lower levels as well. Cut expense budget from $16.2M to $11.4M.
Provided Senior Systems Engineering (SE) Leadership. Achieved cross-organizational team accountability to meet customer needs and expectations. As the $9B+ Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) technical risk and opportunity director, created the agency's Core Standards Adherence directive maintaining program level accountability for mission success. As MDA's chief engineer, created the capabilities-based systems engineering process. As Raytheon's Business Systems Chief Engineer, consolidated 23 PDM systems into 1 on-line system.
Reconciled stubborn competitive companies to achieve a lucrative Teaming Agreement. Mended a difficult 10 year battle between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin to achieve a teaming agreement which led to $100M's of business on the DDG-1000 next generation destroyer. This teaming provided superior mission capability than either of the competitors would have achieved independently. Collaboration is the key to these successes.
Provided excellent Engineering and Program Management across multiple market segments. Achieved mission requirements and customer satisfaction in the development of multiple highly technical systems for the multiple services in the Department of Defense in a variety of Engineering and Program Management positions, teaming both domestically and internationally.
