Data logger and lead hunter for start-up that markets social media polling software. Position involves
Internet research and analysis, recording results in spreadsheet formats, and understanding new
technologies and implementation options.
2011 September: BoutiqueMate
Contract position as a Jquery programmer and designer. Designed and integrated two JQuery carousels
and a modal pop up window into an existing page design, working closely with the employer to ensure that
the desired look and feel of the page was maintained and enhanced. Position required HTML, CSS, and
JQuery fluency, as well as the ability to work closely with the employer to match the results to their design
aesthetic and to do so independently under a deadline to deliver timely results.
2006-2011: Professional Probability Analyst
Applied knowledge of statistics and probability to games of chance and sports. Self-employment as an
online poker player required confident, clear-headed decision-making based on incomplete information, self-
motivation, independent time management, multitasking skills, and ability to work effectively in high stress,
high stakes situations. Also helped to design a statistical analysis package for professional basketball that is
now in proprietary use by an NBA team.
2005: North China University of Technology
Taught college English, journalism, literature, and business writing to native Chinese. Created and delivered
lesson plans; corrected written and oral grammar and usage; edited and evaluated student texts. Required
excellent language skills, as well as the ability to self-manage a demanding workload and to work effectively
