Special Agent duties: Enforce the Federal Control Substance Act by arresting offenders for violations against the United States of America. Perform law enforcement duties involving complex state and federal investigations including financial investigations, money laundering and wiretap-title III operations, participation in undercover operations - surveillance activities and enforcement operations that result in arrests, seizures of assets and contraband. Secure evidence and provide detailed written reports for testimony and presentation in court. Manage and control confidential sources and informants.

Special Operations Group: As the Security Coordinator for the Miami Field Division, I coordinated and managed both physical and personnel security for the Division. This assignment included safety-security issues for all government personnel from 2000-2002.
Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team: As a member of the Clandestine Lab Group, I conducted federal and state investigations on drug trafficking organizations which were involved in the production of clandestine drug labs 1988-1992.
Vice President`s Florida Joint Task Force Group: While assigned to the FJTFG, I coordinated and managed complex air and seaport drug smuggling investigations with the United States Customs Service and local law enforcement/ presented the cases to the United States Attorney`s Office for federal prosecution 1992-1996.
High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force Group: As an agent assigned to the HIDTA Group, I was involved in coordinating and managing complex financial investigations, including money laundering and wiretap-title III operations targeting major drug trafficking organizations in Florida and the Caribbean 2002-2004.
Mobile Enforcement Team: Traveled throughout Florida and the U.S. supporting state and local law enforcement agencies with law enforcement operations targeting violent drug gangs and destructive drug trafficking organizations 2004-2010. In September 2005, the Miami Division MET was deployed to New Orleans, LA following Hurricane Katrina to assist in the reconstruction efforts of New Orleans.
During my career with the DEA I was chosen to serve as Acting Group Supervisor in various enforcement and specialty groups. As Acting Group Supervisor, I was responsible for supervision, coordination and management of both personnel and law enforcement investigations and enforcement operations. I was responsible for the success of all operations within the group. I served overseas while on temporary duty status on official investigations and operations in the following countries: Lima, Peru, Panama City, Panama, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Grand Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
