OBJECTIVE: To obtain a career oriented position as an entry level Mechanical Engineer.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering CSU, Sacramento (CSUS) December 2012
Specialty Courses Taken:
Product Design for Manufacturing & Automation Concurrent Product & Process Design
Numerical Control Programming Modeling & Simulation of Mechatronics & Control System
SKILLS:
Computer Skills: SolidWorks MATLAB MS office
Mechanical Skills: lathe drill press plain milling machine band saw
Language Skills: Bilingual and biliterate in English and Korean
PROJECT:
Senior Project- NASA s Third Annual Lunabotics Mining Competition: Worked with a multidisciplinary team
(EEE/CpE & ME students) to design and build an autonomous lunar excavator that can mine lunar regolith for NASA
robotics competitions. Responsible for the design of all mechanical systems (digging, motion, etc.) conducting
analysis and manufacturing components. The year-long project involved all aspects of the project life cycle including
project proposal, design specifications, product design, documentation, and the delivery of a comprehensive final
report. This competition was held at NASA Kennedy Space Center on May 2012.
Concurrent Product & Process Design Project: Designed disc storage system for electronic data. The system was
designed to use in personal home entertainment system and function as movie rental kiosk. The semester-long project
met the requirement for concurrent product and process design course which required analysis of manufacturability
and economic feasibility.
BattleBots-IQ Robotic Project: Worked with a team of five on the 2006 national BattleBots-IQ competition. Used
CAD software to develop prototype and manufacture the Robot.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials - Department of Robotics &Mechatronics, Daejeon, Korea 6/12-7/12
Research Assistant
Assisted researchers in developing new technologies for testing products. Work involved computer design and
analysis. Specific information on particular products is limited due to the proprietary nature of this work.
