Responsible for managing eleven full time employees in the process to
Transitioning VA enterprise network to IPv6.
Lead the team that enabled VA to meet all 2012 OMB mandates for transition to IPv6 on time and on budget.
Contributed to a financial analysis under a separate IPv6 enablement contract with VA that analyzed the cost savings that will be realized for VA once IPv6 has been fully implemented.
Lead Team member on The Ventura Groups Business Development team responsible for responding to government request for proposals.

Duties:
Verizon Program Manager for TSA Security Operations Center; responsible for the construction of the TSA SOC Primary and Back Up location and the ongoing management of the TSA SOC security facilities and infrastructure. Additional responsible for insuring that the TSA SOC received its` authority to operate based developing and implementing specific C&A requirements packages. The ATO was issued within 60 days of contract award.
DREN Information Security Officer responsible for the security profile and management of the DREN Verizon Network Operations Center (NOC). Created and developed Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert policy and procedures.
Responsible for keeping the DREN Verizon Network Operation Center(NOC) DoD compliant with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Responsible for creating and implementing all C&A requirement packages for the DREN NOC to receive its` ATO on the required three year cycle. Responsible for creating and managing all POA&M functions for the DREN NOC. Responsible for the complete C&A lifecycle management with continuous compliance monitoring of the DREN NOC. Tools used in the performance of the C&A consisted of; Retina Scanners, Gold Disk, Host Based Security Systems. As mandated by the DoD instruction 8500 all DIACAP requirements were managed and meet.
Managing the capacity of VERIZON provided equipment at 200+ customer locations and 10+ VERIZON locations in support of the Department of Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) program. Responsible for configuring Juniper Routers using all network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, Multicast, and ISIS. Equipment managed includes Juniper routers at each customer site, Juniper routers and Marconi ATM switches at each DREN Node, and Verizon testing lab equipment. Responsibilities also include managing capacity of this hardware using Remedy database to ensure that DREN interface requirements are met and providing customer views and reports of site hardware configurations. Responsible for the management of Internet Protocol addresses both IPv4 and IPv6 and establishing and maintaining IPv4 and IPv6 Matrix for use on the backbone of the DREN.
Additional responsibility includes managing the DREN Change Control Board. This group consists of engineering, operations, customer, and management personnel to ensure that changes to any DREN network element are implemented with a minimum of disruption to the DREN network and for the establishment of capacity and change management procedures.
Senior member of Verizon provisioning team responsible for transitioning federal governments local and broadband services. In this capacity created and developed business process that saved time and money for both the client and the company resulting in additional contract awards and increased company revenue.
