#WORKS CARRIED OUT
Verification of switching sequence of power system. Experience on switching of power transformers,distribution transformers and SF6 switchgear of Merlin Gerin / Siemens / Abb.
Functional testing of power transformers such as WTI/OTI testing / calibrations, Bucholtz relay testing, Oil sampling, BDV testing for insulation Resistance testing, Under pressure relay testing.
Substation earthing system maintenance and installation / modification of earth rods at earth pits of the substation using CPC 100 (Omicron ) kit.
Operational checks of OLTC, limit switches, Drive motors, Raise and lower control of tap position checks, step by step relay checks, out of step relay checks, Tap position indicator and remote indication checks
Operation and maintenance of GIS Substations (400/220/132/66/11KV)
Operation, Controlling and Maintenance of GIS, AIS equipments such as SF6CB, VCB, OCB, CTs, PTs, Isolators and ESs.
Operation & maintenance of Power Transformers, auxiliary Transformers, Feeders, Tap changers, Bus bar protection panels and Control panels.
Operations on the LVAC equipment panels & Battery chargers.
Dealing with the old conventional Electromagnetic relays and new Digital relays of ABB, Siemens and Areva.
Tracing, Analysis and correction of faults in the circuits and Monitoring the updates of the substation condition.
Dealing with the SCADA communication system equipments and panels.
Operations and Maintenance of fire protection alarm panels, smoke detection alarm panels, SERGI protection panels, DELUGI pump system etc.
Registering of all events in substation log book.
Maintaining of communication with NCC (National Control Centre) DCC (Distributed Control Centre) and DGCC (Grid Control Centre) of KAHRAMAA.

#JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out condition monitoring work of substation equipment in a safe manner as per the instruction of superior.
Responsible in the completion of works on time and the proper use of tools/devices and consumable items.
Reports any abnormalities found on substation equipment and in the transmission primary substation premises to his superior.
Performs emergency activities as required.
Condition monitoring done by using advanced equipments. Clip on ammeter for load measurement

Operation and maintenance of 110/33 KV Substation.
Trouble shooting of Substation equipment's such as 400/200/110/11 KV, Transformers, Circuit Breakers, CTs, PTs, etc.
Supervision of regular maintenance works of Substation equipment's. Load scheduling and control panel operation.
Transformer oil filtering
Checking, maintaining control supply system and station battery.
Issuing permit to work on feeders (EHV &HV) and Substation equipment's. Issuing NBC (Non back feeding certificate)
On load tap changing of Transformers to control the system voltage.
Engaged in overhauling, erection, commissioning of 220KV SF6 circuit breakers
Engaged in 220KV SF6 circuit opening and closing tests and its contact and insulation resistance measurements
Power and control cable laying and termination.
