EXPERIENCE
Parasol Lab, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas April 2009 - Present
Undergraduate Researcher
Conduct research directed by Drs. Nancy Amato and Lawrence Rauchwerger.
Design and develop the Standard Template Adaptive Parallel Library (STAPL), which is
a library for developing parallel programs in C++.
Contributed to testing framework and experimental analysis of STAPL. Created and
maintained a pro ling suite to monitor the developing performance of parallel containers
and algorithms. Work led to optimizations in the Parallel Container Framework.
Won 2nd place award at the 2009 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
poster competition for the development of a parallel algorithm.
Requires team skills - daily activities involve working closely with a local group of 3
students and collaborating with a group of 14 students.
