Ongoing Security Development projects with News Corp - working with former CTO of

MySpace.

Short term back office programming projects through TempTech Agency.

Essentially, the past year, I have re-visited

former clients. I have had the unique opportunity of either managing or

programming upgraded modules to those I originally created. Lucky that I have

virtually no ego. This journey took me through JavaScript, VbScript, PERL,

Oracle & C#. Projects ranged in duration from 4-9 weeks.

Worked on non-IT related medical hardware innovation.

Director of Architecture.

Reviewed all new initiatives regarding their Architectural impact.

Served as liaison between Product and Tech in refining project

initiatives – most ‘battles’ centered around User-experience

versus Performance degradation and accompanying costs.

Key stakeholder/contributor in the formation and process definition of

the new MySpace API tier called Service Layer. This opened up our APIs to third

parties via RESTful urls and ROA.

Was instrumental in implementing a new Caching message system code

named FlexCache. This was based on Amazon’s

Cloud System option #3. It solved an ongoing problem of dynamically

adding/removing nodes as site traffic ebbed & flowed.

Established in-house certification programs for CSS and Infrastructure.

Oversaw multiple SecDev projects aimed at eliminating SPAM. These

included Karma, Cloudmark and Joust.

Managed all aspects of new product development for both the

Infrastructure and Security Development Teams.

Designed all phases of the SMS Verification Module – this

eliminated the much hated Captchas.

Lead (and programmed) the efforts to eliminate all remnants of the

legacy ColdFusion codebase.

Functioned as SCRUM Master for both Infrastructure and SecDev Teams.

Utilized agile pair programming to complement the benefits of pure SCRUM.

Worked as subcontractors for other web design companies specializing in

back end Oracle/SQL Server Integration.

Most work was done in .NET, JavaScript, and SQL.

Extensive experience in E-Commerce Solutions – shopping carts and

the like..

Shachihata (Torrance) outsourced their web department to us. Because of

the nature of their business (customized rubber stamps – XStamper), we

had to become very proficient in all aspects of graphics i.e. GDI+ etc.

Other clients included Aviatech, Budget Blinds, Help U Sell, Liberty

Fitness, etc.

Spearheaded conversion to client-server Oracle Financials from AS/400.

Designed & programmed new worldwide Toshiba Forecasting System

based on I2 model.

Managed external development team of Oracle Apps Programmers.

Working with .NET Beta, I replaced the non-friendly JAVA GUIs

(pre-Swing Classes) with rich ASP.net implementations. This was done

ubiquitously site wide i.e. previous AS/400 screens plus Oracle Financial

screens.

Introduced OO concepts & programming into what was previously a

COBOL/RPG shop.
