Editing/Programming on numerous sound and instrument sample libraries in Audio,

AIFF/WAV CD-ROM, GigaSampler, and Akai S1000 formats. Involved with final mastering/authoring and documentation of many titles, including booklet layout.

Installed, set up, and maintained all wiring, hardware, and software for a DSL/twisted-pair ethernet network of Macs and PCs; and for a Toshiba digital phone system.

Extensive HTML design and tweaking for SoundsOnline website, in addition to the production and encoding of audio product demos and samples for online audition and sale.

Assistant or chief engineer on all location recording sessions using high-end equipment including Nagra-D, Prism, Millennia, etc.; in charge of equipment set-up, calibration, and layout in addition to microphone placement and evaluation.

Mastering: Used Sonic Solutions 24-bit workstation, with a variety of analog and digital processors, for editing and mastering dozens of projects -- from jazz re-releases and R&B singles to albums for classical ensembles and symphonies.

Editing: Edited numerous albums from musical scores for commercial release. Critical listening for wrong notes, ensemble/tuning problems, and bad edits.

Forensic Audio Enhancement: Used specialized equipment to remove noise and improve intelligibility. Work has been featured on Prime Time Live, and several NYC-area news broadcasts.

Transfers: Optimal playback of all forms of vinyl/acetate records and all forms of tape media using specialized equipment.

General Restoration: Used CEDAR and Sonic Solutions equipment to remove clicks, hiss, and distortion from music, film soundtracks, and interviews.

Performed circuit upgrades and modifications on studio equipment.

Maintenance of UNIX server networked with Macs; DSL installation.

Degree program was very similar to Computer Science Engineering, but with more

emphasis on Math and on getting a "well rounded" liberal arts education.

Designed and built microphone preamplifiers and numerous other devices for use with audio recording and listening. Former member of the New York chapter of the Audio Engineering Society.
