OBJECTIVE
As an entry-level teacher, my goal is to contribute to and uphold the school's standard of
excellence and help students on the middle school level reach their fullest potential in the
classroom and in life. By continuing to learn new and old strategies of teaching, exchange
knowledge with other teaching staff, and build upon my professional development, I will prove
myself as a competent educator.
EXPERIENCE
August 2010 to Pine Tree Junior High School
December 2010 Longview, TX
Student Teacher
I did my student teaching assignment at Pine Tree Junior High under the
mentorship of English, Language Arts & Reading (ELAR-8th grade) teacher
Margaret Clark. This assignment was 13 weeks long; four of which I worked
as a full-time teacher in the classroom, and earned over 30 observation hours
in other classrooms.
August 2007 to Gilmer High School
March 2010 Gilmer, TX
Substitute Teacher
I worked as a substitute teacher for Gilmer ISD and had the opportunity to
work on the High School and Junior High campuses (Grades 7-12). I was
assigned to substitute for all subjects.
CERTIFICATION STATUS
-Earned 24 hours of English/Language Arts coursework.
-Taken and passed the TExES Pedagogy for Professional Responsibilities (PPR) Exam.

Attended Northeast Texas Community College after graduating from high
school. Earned the Mary Palmer Journalism Scholarship, and wrote for The
