PROJECTS
NYC Find a Fountain: Designed and implemented a free, open-source, geo-location based
Android
application and RESTful server to expose the locations of the NYC public drinking
fountains. The system
was an experiment in user interface design with the restriction of having a single
graphical user interface.
The system was built using the Android SDK, Google Map API, Java, Sqlite, and CakePHP.
(Summer 2011)
Shape Indexing Segmentation Survey: Developed a system that tested several (custom and
pre-built)
segmentation algorithms about the MPEG CE Shape database to determine the effectiveness
of the
clustering techniques in yielding results aligned with human -based segmentation. This
project was built
using Matlab and served as the final project for the Machine Learning course at the
Graduate Center.
(Spring 2011)
Shape Indexing in Digital Media: Collaborating with Dr. Jie Wei (CCNY) in designing and
implementing an
experimental object recognition system that decomposes an image s object into primitive
shapes to
facilitate the fast and accurate indexing and retrieval of matching images about the MPEG
CE Shape
database. The system is built using Matlab. (Fall/Spring 2011)
Project Gesture: Designed and was the lead developer for a Windows-based, 2D,
experimental, airplane
shooter prototype with gameplay utilizing gesture recognition. The system was built using
C#, the XNA
rendering engine, and subversion. (Summer 2010)
