As editor and writer, launched and managed Current Clinical Practice, a peer-reviewed,
indexed, CME-accredited print and online journal about regulatory issues affecting
physicians. Launched October 2007; full circulation 173,000. Conceptualized and launched
initiative; invited and edited content; liaised with board of national policy leaders;
created and maintained Web site and analytics; marketed via ads and press releases,
exhibited at national conferences.
As editor and writer, launched and managed APCToday.com (Advanced Practice Clinicians
Today), an online journal for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Launched in
March 2006. To build community, created and maintained APCblogit. To enhance search
functionality and generate online advertising revenue, developed a targeted vertical
search engine, APCFindit. Marketed via ads and press releases, exhibited at national
conferences.
As conference organizer for Cleveland Clinic Obesity Congress 2006, planned and
implemented the firsta *ever Industry Day as part of Cleveland Clinic's medical conference
on obesity. Invited and managed speakers and sponsors including top executives from Aetna,
Johnson & Johnson/Ethicon, HighMark Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Hillenbrand Industries,
Invacare, Pennington Research, Stryker, US Surgical.
