Supervisor
Started with Valley National Bank as a Data Control operator in 1981. I worked in this area for 16 years going through various mergers, transitions, and upgrades. Valley National merged with Bank One who then merged with JP Morgan Chase. Data Control consisted of data entry from the branches to input into a data base. After 16 years I transferred to Check Processing. I was first a group leader of Lundy which later became Image Reject Repair, then after a year, became supervisor of that area. There was six areas in Check Processing and I was supervisor of five of the six areas. They were Set-Up, Sorter, Proof, Image Reject Repair and Transit. I was responsible for the workflow and meeting Money Card release on a daily basis. Check Processing was responsible for daily input and output of checks, deposits and withdrawl forms, alpha and numeric. I was responsible for maintaining staff, payroll, processes, cross-training, and various other duties within each area.
