My job consists of reviewing awarded contractor?s proposals for the 2012 Upgrade to the Automation Systems to simplify operations and enable them to efficiently produce coil steel with the new MCC & PLC systems. I Acquired all available electrical & Instrumentation drawings, which included but not limited to, electrical single line diagrams, Automation Cabinets electrical diagrams, Remote I/O fiber & Profibus networks, Instrumentation Specs and parameters, instrument locations & functions, cable schedules, location plans and mechanical drawings, which included but not limited to, Electrical Motors & Gearboxes, Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), trolley cranes, roll stands, coil handling sail, Stelmor fans & motors, and to propose an efficient estimate, plan and schedule to carry out the upgrade. I built a user friendly database with queries based from cable schedules provided from Engineering client in order to affectively track and progress of each piece of equipment. I was responsible for building a detailed schedule to the clients? exact expectations utilizing Microsoft Project 2010. I was responsible for coordinating and leading daily meetings to make sure the task were on schedule and if there were any deviations from the proposed plan.
