2008 to 2012 Director, IT Sourcing Corporate Procurement

As a corporate shared service, managed a virtual team of (5) IT Sourcing Managers and a Sourcing Analyst in large scale strategic sourcing initiatives with an array of suppliers across multiple categories, aggregating technical requirements from all business units to maximize pricing leverage to deliver millions in annual cost savings and efficiencies.

Acting as a sole contributor, negotiated the replacement of a large fixed asset storage environment with a multi-year utility solution incorporating a declining price per gigabyte/tier/month based solely on usage (as a result, received the aTechStar Awarda for contributions to the company).

Created and maintained a pipeline of upcoming sourcing / contract activity to manage stakeholder expectations and allow visibility to other supporting departments including Legal, Finance, IT risk, and various corporate governance boards.

Lead the integration and contract consolidation efforts from several mergers & acquisitions, both domestically and internationally, to drive cost savings and efficiencies.

2004 to 2008 Director, Contract Management Corporate Procurement

Established a Contract Management Office to streamline the IT contract approval and signature process and to provide robust management of post signature activities. Designed and populated an Access database of IT contract information with over 1,000 contract records.

Migrated the contract database from Access to the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) module of the SAP/R3 financial system. The SRM repository contains contractual data as well as an electronic image of the agreement. Established process of utilizing system generated email alerts and reports highlighting upcoming contract milestone activities.

2003 to 2004 Director, CIT Finance Corporate Information Technology

Transitioned the IT staff of a business unit into the Corporate IT organization. Project included headcount and salary baselines, IT spending transfers, and financial analysis of fixed asset base (depreciation expense) and telephony usage expense.

Managed a project working with the SAP systems support and A/P to develop and implement full SAP purchase request-to-order functionality for multiple business units.

Developed corporate database to manage server assets from multiple business units. Created a process to capture similar data on newly acquired servers with information from POas.

2001 to 2003 Director, IT Finance McKesson Health Solutions

Lead role in sourcing activities for the entire business unit including IT hardware, software, maintenance/support, telephony, professional services, etc.

Re-designed the IT procurement process. Initiated a centralized procurement function, which reduced costs and decreased lead-time from request to delivery. Instituted a new centralized invoice validation and payment procedure, which resulted in annualized cost savings of approximately $875K.

Managed a business unit wide IT physical asset inventory, created an asset database, and produced monthly fixed asset reports. Utilizing the asset repository developed IT usage-based expense reporting which significantly improved IT expense management.

Established a new cost center structure by IT discipline. Produced budget vs. actual expense reports for cost center managers & conducted in-depth monthly reviews. Prepared annual IT budgets and calculated the intercompany allocations for IT related goods and services.
