Pattern Maker

As a pattern maker needed to ensure that all garments were being produced

to the required standard quality and that manufacturing is measured within

tolerance. Discussed new patterns with the pattern department and helped to

decide the best way to manufacture them, working out size specifications and

planning how new garment will be made up, regarding to ideas and changes

that can be made to improve the garment. He monitored the production of

prototype garment and altered the pattern slightly to fit and manufacturing

requirements.

Making amendments and formulate graded spec, taking part in fit sessions.

With an influence in the entire construction process from initial to finished

garment, suggesting modifications and works closely with designers, pattern

cutters and buyers, and ensures that all garments are constructed to the

As a junior pattern maker (for a period of three years) spent most of the time

graduating patterns (as, at the time, was a manual skill) very close to a

professional pattern maker, observing the entire construction process of

making patterns, scales, rules, measurements, size charts and make choices

of internal materials.

After this period, was promoted to pattern maker simultaneous a responsible

of CAD department (Investronica).

As a pattern maker, supported the junior patter maker and CAD system teams

through all stages of garment development to make first pattern.

Made patterns in cardboard templates, from which the parts of a garment are

traced onto before cutting out and assembling.

Worked directly with the designer and the production office to inspect sample

garment before producing final patterns and checked production himself.

In the CAD department, digitalized all the patterns and made the graded as

per costumer request, also added authority, rigor and leadership into the

process.
