Qualifications

Strong engineering and technical background with industrial control systems. Extensive

experience with integrated AC/DC drive systems in continuous web applications, batching

and liquid transfer/storage systems, coating with heat process equipment and power

distribution of 13kV to 480V with high power equipment. Proficient with AutoCAD and

various engineering design software packages, RS View, Logix 5k, Automax DCS, Siemens Step

7 and Wonderware. Extensive experience building control systems using function block,

structured text and ladder logic programming languages along with HMI. Good using MS

office suite and SAP. Experienced at applying NFPA 70E, short circuit calculations and

overcurrent coordination.

Project oriented with ten years of project management experience. Familiar with PMBOK

project management methodology and with MS project. Delivering twenty five years'

experience with industrial electrical automation systems from design and installation to

maintenance and trouble-shooting.

Recent Accomplishments

I'm currently working on a $60k project that involves integrating three new Allen Bradley

Power Flex DC drives into an existing coating production line. This requires system design

and a limited interruption change over during a brief shut down. The drives are part of a

system that is controlled with a control Logix 5000 processor and are networked with 15

other drives. My role in this project is to design the system, develop system software,

draw schematics for the system, write complete scope of work, select contractors for

installation, award bids and oversee budget of the project.

Another recent project completed in December of 2011 where I was responsible for $520K of

control and drive systems that was part of a $3.2 million project. The project consisted

of four - 3k gallon storage tanks with liquid transfer systems from a central batching

system. Then the integration of 8 new Allen Bradley Powerflex 755 AC drive sections into

an existing vinyl coating production line. My role in this project was to design the

control and drive systems, develop system software, draw all engineering schematics, write

scope of work for installation bids, select contractors and oversee project and budget of

these systems. I worked under the project manager and managed the electrical part of the

overall project.

Project Completed in January 2012 where I designed the replacement of an old analog DC

drive with a new AB Power Flex DC drive. The drive was an integral part of a complex

process and required seamless change over with limited down time. This was a $32k dollar

project and I was responsible for the entire project.

Electrical Supervisor directing technicians and electricians in day to day plant

maintenance. As a technical group leader I run various improvement projects and additions

to the Vinyl process.
