Serves as a senior technical team member of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic
Infectious Diseases Health Communication Science Office web team. Responsible for
developing and maintaining publicly facing web applications and administration of web IT
infrastructure.
Designed, built and maintain a content management system and website for the CDC Emerging
Infectious Disease journal. The system manages the data for more than 5,500 journal
articles and related content. Built in ASP.NET 3.5/4 C#, the system consists of two web
applications; an internal admin system (ASP.NET Web Forms based) and externally facing
website (ASP.NET MVC based) sharing a central SQL Server 2005 database. The deployment of
the system saves an estimated 50 hours/month of a web production time.
Designed, built and maintain ASP.NET 3.5/4 C# & AJAX based content management system
(ASP.NET Web Forms based) and externally facing website (ASP.NET MVC based) for the CDC
Travelers Health website which delivers timely and accurate health information to the
general public both in the USA and abroad. The site averages approximately 90,000 hits on
weekdays.
Developed T4 templates that generate C# based object-relation data model for SQL Server
2005/2008 databases using stored procedures, table valued functions, Microsoft Enterprise
Library and SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) which enforce the proper usage of indexes
and foreign keys.
Developed presentation layers to be XHTML, CSS, and RSS compliant utilizing search engine
compatible friendly URLs.
Implemented sitemaps formatted in XML to aid Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
