Makes sure that the network is running efficiently based on the standards set by the bank. Task includes administration of its multiple domain LAN/WAN network running on Windows NT platform, LAN grouping, policy definition, creation of user accounts, defining security and server optimization, configuration of client terminals and DNS updates. Analyze/Review Fault Tolerance proposals and Disaster Recovery recommendations. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the banks online tellering equipment. Monitor, analyze and resolve network problems.

Supervise the installation and maintenance of the bank's online system. This involves close coordination with carrier companies (NCR for ATM Machines, CB Phils for Radio Modem, Remax & Sola for UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), PLDT/BayanTel (ICC)/Digitel/PT&T (datelcom) for Lease line etc), installation of communication equipment - modems, multiplexers, radio, switches, routers, hubs, automated teller machines(ATM) and other network components. Metrobank is currently running 100% online in all the present countryside and Metro Manila based branches.

Lead and coordinate with other engineers in the conversion of Metrobank's SNA based tellering system, PSBank FNS Online System and Global Bank BTM-Solstice into a more flexible intranetwork utilizing the widely used TCP/IP protocol. Replaced all existing Banks equipments and apparatus. Setup, configure and load WinNT server and workstation terminals. Perform configuration and testing procedures. Conduct branch dry run.
