Leading organizations into compliance with the most stringent of regulations
Slashing EHS costs to enhance profitability
Building, training, and leading world-class teams
Analyzing technical challenges and creating strategies for improvement
My MHS in Environmental Health Sciences is from Johns Hopkins University and my BS in Mathematics is from The Ohio State University. I am a Six Sigma-Green Belt and hold a current Secret Clearance. I am known as an analytical problem solver, able to simplify complex problems and develop cost-effective solutions that work.
Selected Accomplishments
Grew EHS audit program four-fold at no added cost. Inherited Northrop Grumman's EHS program just as the company needed to expand its auditing. Successfully increased annual audits from 12 to 50 per year while improving efficiency, accuracy, tracking, and corrective action implementations with no additional expense.
Brought company into EHS compliance. Hamilton Sundstrand's, compliance was spotty and morale was low. Stepped in, reviewed entire program, identified problems, and developed solutions while implementing team concept for EHS. Maintained ISO 14001 (3 sites), VPP (2 sites) certifications, and avoided $100K+ in penalties.
Developed program to improve worker safety. Hamilton Sundstrand's requirement to conduct an analysis of all plant hazards had not been completed, resulting in serious injury. Led review and implemented corrective action, avoiding $1M+ in Workman's Comp costs. Requested to develop EHS training course to be used division-wide.
Brought in major project in on time and under budget. URS won project to renovate Pentagon's basement, but there had been no on-site hazardous materials evaluation. Built and led team to identify hazardous/toxic materials present then created and implemented remediation plan. Delivered $2.2M project on time and under budget.
Led Global implementation of EHS standards. Antea Group was retained to develop global EHS programs for Microsoft and Oracle. Evaluated and created procedures for development and implementation processes. Led introduction of Global EHS Management System, implemented by clients globally.
