I am very interested in the Administrative position posted on Craigslist. I believe I have the skills, commitment, and conscientiousness to not only succeed but to excel in this position.
My last full-time employment was as a Human Resources Specialist in the Vermont Army National Guard. (VTARNG or the Guard). This full-time position is no longer funded and I am currently working part-time for the Guard. My experience and training in the VTARNG has given me the opportunity to grow and focus my career path. I am committed to working for your company. I have excellent organizational and communication skills, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to work in both a team and self directed environment. I have exemplary references and include a letter from Master Sgt Camp as an example.
In my position as a Human Resources Specialist for my unit, I prepared and maintained officer and enlisted personnel records; prepared, monitored and managed requests for promotions, transfers, reclassification, discharges, line of duty determination and personnel security clearances; prepared, updated, and coordinated requests for evaluations, including responding to evaluation inquiries; prepared and processed recommendations for awards and decorations and processed personnel for separation and retirement.
To further acquaint you with the specifics of my background I am enclosing my resume. I hope you will consider me for this position. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing my qualifications in more detail.
Sincerely,
I am a Private First Class (PFC) in the Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG). I was most recently employed by VTARNG as a Human Resource Specialist. My position was recently unfunded and I am currently working part-time for VTARNG and as a substitute teacher.
I am extremely interested in finding a Human Resources position where I can demonstrate my skills that I have gained from my experience working with the VTARNG. I have strong people skills and enjoy working with the public in a fast paced environment.
