Semantic Architecture InternJune - September 2010Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)

Established a semantic sensor reasoning software used for research in security which

involved rewriting the data layer of an existing application and then creating a working

prototype that allowed security threats to be detected by sensors.

Projects

SECURE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHn9aCt9zQU

This demo is a Semantic Web research effort towards a Physical-Cyber-Social system that

uses background knowledge on the web, and an ontology of perception, to reason over the

sensor observations generated by a mobile robot.

Technologies used: Java, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Arduino, Apache/Tomcat

RTFS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ews4w_eCpg

Real Time Feature Streams focuses on reasoning over lower-level raw sensor data streams

to detect higher-level abstractions called features (a concept that represents a real

world entity like Blizzard, RainStorm, etc.) in real-time.

Technologies used: JSP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Apache/Tomcat, OpenRDF Sesame

Twitris-IAC http://twitris.knoesis.org/iac

Twitris-IAC (India Against Corruption) is a Semantic Web application that facilitates

understanding of social perceptions by Semantics-based processing of massive amounts of

event-centric data. It also covers context based semantic integration of multiple Web

resources and exposes semantically enriched social data to the public domain. Semantic Web

technologies enable the systematic integration and analysis abilities.

Technologies used: Java, PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Apache
