I monitor maintenance quality control; prepare weekly maintenance schedules; maintain inventories of parts; review maintenance data forms; train and mentor subordinates. I have worked with cryptographic equipment, electronic counter measures, receivers, transmitters, radars, satellite communications, and airfield lighting systems.

Work Experience:

Lockheed Martin Sumter, SC US Radio Technician 12/2010 - Present

Perform system operational checks, fault isolation, removal and replacement of parts for Air Traffic Control radios, digital recorders and communication switches at Bishkek International Airport in Kyrgyzstan and at Balad Airfield in Iraq. Work with the CM-200 VHF/UHF radios, LMR radios, Liberty Star Switch and the Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch at Bishkek and the BC3, Air Tactical Control system in Balad. Assisted engineers with the installation troubleshooting of the ETVS system in Bishkek.

Riverine Squadron Three Yorktown, VA US ET1 06/2007 - 07/2010

Performed system operational checks, preventative maintenance, fault isolation, repairing numerous faults on the Mobile Ashore Satellite Terminal to include; cables, satellite modem, transmitter, receiver, GPS, and general system programming problems. Performed numerous repairs and hours of training on the PRC-117/152 VHF/UHF radios, PRC-150 HF radios, Blue Force Tracker GPS System, and Forward Looking Infrared system.

NCTAMS LANT Norfolk, VA US ET1 11/2004 - 05/2007

Managed an Inspector General visit, corrected numerous program discrepancies during self-assessment which resulted in an outstanding grade with no major discrepancies. Ranked number one of fifty in my pay grade for leading the operation and maintenance of over ten million dollars of equipment, including 812 fault repairs and ensuring connectivity to 120 commands. USS Ronald Reagan Norfolk, VA US ET1 06/2002 - 10/2004

Installed and aligned the SPN-46 precision approach landing system with engineers resulting in 100% readiness by correcting magnetron center frequency failure. Trouble-shot and repaired an installation cable fault in the antenna of the SPN-46 that was causing two wires to short and shut down the antenna. Maintained three unfamiliar systems, two radars and a video recording system, after the transfer of four technicians. Performed system operational checks, preventative maintenance, fault isolation, removal and replacement of plug-in assemblies or chassis mounted parts and system alignment for the SPN-46 all-weather Precision Approach Landing System.

USS David R Ray Everett, WA US ET2 05/2000 - 11/2001

Repaired numerous High Frequency transmitters, couplers, and cryptographic equipment. Corrected faults with teletype converters, secure voice switching system and repaired numerous antenna connectors raising communication reliability. Repaired long standing HF coupling matrix problems and corrected cooling motors that had been issued with undocumented changes to factory wiring. Reverse engineered a communications circuit used for intelligence saving ten thousand dollars in engineering costs. Supervised the removal and installation of two satellite antennas for overhaul and repaired faults encountered after the antennas were returned.
