EMPLOYMENT
September 2008-Present:ContractMaintenance/Scheduler/ Planner at Hess Refinery Port
Reading, NJ. My duties consist of developing weekly schedules, updating daily work
schedules and conduct daily update meetings. I manage maintenance backlogs and conduct
look ahead meetings for major future projects. I regulate contractor manpower to meet
needs of the refinery. Maintain the safety backlog to a minimum. Update KPI?s to track the
progress of maintenance and planning objectives.
June 2006September 2008: Electrical/Instrumentation Manager/Boiler Supt. Pratt
Industries Staten Island New York. My duties consist of maintaining all Electrical and
Instrumentation equipment in the mill. I plan all E&I shutdown work and set-up contractors
as needed. I was in charge of the mill utility and boiler area.
Oct 2004-June 2006: Mill Planner for Pratt Industries Staten Island N.Y.. Pratt
Industries is a recycle paper mill located on Staten Island which produces different
grades of Kraft paper for boxes. My duties consist of monthly shut down planning (both
mechanicle and electrical), daily maintenance scheduling, weekly PM maintence and Lube
route scheduling. I also pull off hours and week end coverage for the maintenance
department.
March 2004Sept 2004: ContractPlanner/Scheduler for Valero Aruba Refinery, Aruba.
My assignment was with the Valero Turnaround Group. I was the T/A planner for the
utilities group. Planned T/A for boilers and the Desalination Plants both eletrical and
mechanical work.
2001 - 2004: Maintenance Site Manager, Durango-McKinley Paper Co., Prewitt, New Mexico.
Hired as a Project Engineer and promoted to Maintenance Site Manager. I handle all
mechanical work, budgets, parts, daily and shutdown planning.
1997 - 2001: Self-Employed to 1998 then transferred to Starcon, Aruba. Contract work for
El Paso Gas Aruba Refinery as a Planner,Scheduler and Project Manager. I was the daily and
shutdown planner for the Plant Electrical and Power House work. I planned Boiler and
Turbine shutdowns, prepared project AFE?s, order parts, handle contract bids and
supervised to job completion. Planned both mechanical, piping, instrument and electrical
work. At this time we were using Primavera and Microsoft Project planning programs.
1994-1997: Set-up my own companies in Aruba.
19921994Instrument and Electrical Supervisor, Coastal Refining Company, Aruba.
After 6 months was transferred to the Planning and Cost Control Department due to my
computer skills. Handle all types of project work including electrical, mechanical and
piping work. Help schedule major shutdowns especialy in the Power House Boiler and Turbine
areas. At this time we were using ATC for planning shutdowns.
19821992Instrument and Electrical Foreman, Amoco Chemical Company, Chocolate Bayou,
Texas. Supervise all E&I work in the PP#2 unit. Planned and scheduled all daily and
shutdown work. I was the maintenance representitive on a two year project to install a
Honeywell DCS system on the PP#2 unit.
1979-1982: Utility Supervisor for American Hoerst, Pasadena Texas. My duties consisted of
supervising operators in the operation of two boilers, cooling water system, deminerlizer
water system, air compressors and waste water system.
1978-1979: Boiler Superintendent for Big Three Industry, Pasadena Texas. I was
responsible for the operation and maintenance of ten boilers, which we converted five to
both oil and gas fired.
1973-1979: Control Room Operator for Mead Paperboard in Stevenson Alabama. Control room
operator for the powerhouse, which included power boilers, recovery boiler, evaporators
and water treatment facilities.
