Statement of Intent

I am seeking full time employment as an interaction designer and want to work on products

used by other designers. My aspiration is to develop new and innovative tools to help

creative people realize their visions while being more productive and having more fun then

they thought possible.

Work with stakeholders across different business units and product teams to design and

deploy internal enterprise-wide tools as well as customer facing services. Utilizing a

tactical, agency like approach, my team and I cover the gamut of the design process: we

frame problems, gather requirements, orchestrate primary and secondary research, conduct

competitive analysis, plan and facilitate workshops, create wireframes, develop

prototypes, create visuals, test and iterate on designs, and collaborate with engineers in

an agile environment to bring new products to users

summer 2011

Co-designed scenario wireframes for next-generation ophthalmology devices and produced

interactive touch prototypes to facilitate feedback on the design from medical

technicians. Established a methodology for rapid generation of interactive prototypes for

the iPad that retained Cooper s preferred tools and process while streamlining and

increasing flexibility of production. Trained key employees in this new process and

developed training materials to support company wide adoption and implementation. This

process will be published in two upcoming articles on Smashingmagazine.com

Conducted secondary research, competitive analysis, and synthesized findings into models

that recommended how to strategically implement a new three year vision for the Las Vegas

Convention and Visitors Authority. Similar work was done on a smaller scale for United
