Develop, debug and install FANUC PAINTworks HMI software for robotic painting automation.
Cell control by writing and debugging PLC Ladder logic on multiple PLC platforms. Modified
software to meet customer requirements, as well as adding useful new features as needs
became apparent. Worked with customers to meet their database and reporting requirements.
Travel to customer sites to install and startup robotic automation on tight shutdown
schedules. Took lead in conversion of PAINTworks software from Visual Basic 6 to Visual
Basic .NET, and Access Databases to SQL Server express. Implemented object oriented design
in PAINTworks conversion. Used VB macros in MS Office to automate Word and Excel for
PAINTworks reporting format and display. Able to step outside software responsibilities to
assist with hardware installation and debug as successful automation launches sometimes
