Experience
May 2009 to Current
United States Navy Norfolk, VA
Sonar Technician Third Class
Having served on Active Duty, I have experience in a variety of different skills and tasks. I am a qualified maintenance technician for numerous electronic and mechanical equipment. Following specific outlined procedures, I was required to pay strict and meticulous attention to every detail of my work and was inspected on this process on a weekly basis. I also have extensive manual labor experience in which I've been required to work long hard hours and carry heavy loads of up to 100 pounds. Safety was also an essential part of the ordinance handling operations; everyone on the team was a safety observer and obeyed all safety precautions at all times. I've overcome difficult and stressful work situations caused by extensive requirements, shortage of personnel, poor weather conditions, and being separated from home and family. I'm also a skilled team player and a diligent, dependable, and hard worker with integrity and a strong work ethic, all because of my experience in the military.
November 2008 to May 2009
Pizza Hut Chesapeake, VA
Cook
One of my first jobs, experience working at Pizza hut was the beginning of my development into the professional worker that I am today. I worked in a fast paced, and often times stressful environment, which included making over 100 orders per working day. Team work was an essential part of working at the restaurant, as there was no time to waste trying to get the job done by myself. Despite the difficulty with keeping up with the work and assuring customer satisfaction, I maintained an excellent work ethic and a quality performance, even as a young man, that got the job accomplished.
June 2007 to November 2008
Calz Pizza, Subs, and Wings Virginia Beach, VA
Cook
I was hired on the spot for this job and immediately placed in the kitchen and trained on how to prepare, cook, and package orders of wings and to answer customer calls and take orders. I quickly adapted to the situation and learned what I needed to do and how to do. This job helped me to develop work skills and ethics that I didn't have previously.
