Employment History:

1/2002

3/15/2002 -- Antek Industries, Houston, TX (contractor)

Main duty was writing embedded software C and Forth.

As Embedded Software Engineer at Antek, I developed a Touch

Screen GUI for the Mosaic Industries (www.mosaic-industries.com)

embedded processor (68HC11). Also, developed a PID (proportional

Integral Differential) algorithm for controlling the temperature of a

gas chromatograph. Among other things the Touch Screen GUI

allowed the end user the ability to input of temperature

set-points, ramp-up temperatures in degrees/second

ramp-up times in minutes. To make it possible to use a Unix like

environment for development, I installed Cygwin ( Unix clone ),

Samba, CVS, and Xfree86 on all WinXX and WinNT machines.

Special Skills: Setting up Cygwin environment on Win98. Event

and time triggered patterns, reading cold junction and thermocouple

using 12 bit and 24 bit DACs to enable conversion from millivolts

to degrees C. Also, learned how to develop and tune PID algorithms.

8/2001

- 11/16/2001 -- Lockheed Martin, Syracuse, NY (contractor)

Sun/Solaris and Intel

/Linux - C, C++, CORBA and UML

Ported C and C++ code running on the HP-UX OS to run

transparently on both the Solaris and Linux operating

systems. Develop c++ class allowing legacy code running on

a LittleEndian machine (Intel) the ability to read

BigEndian binary data from disk. Refactored application so

modem code resided on a dedicated processor (Solaris) which

communicated via CORBA with other SMP processors (Linux).

Used CORBA to enhance/developed a heterogeneous distributed system.

11/2000

- 6/2001 -- Cisco, San Jose, CA (contractor

)

Sun/Solaris

-- Tcl, Perl

Ported WinNT tcl code to run in a

Sun/Solaris environment. The tcl code empliments APIs

which automate Certification Wave (CW) testing of DOCSIS 1.0

and 1.1 Cable Modems (CM) and Cable Modem Termination

Systems (CMTS). Used Test Expert (Verecomm's product) to

regression test each new release of Tality's Automated

DOCSIS 1.0 and 1.1 test scripts. Tested OSS and SF test

scripts to verify they didn't have tcl scripting errors.

Special Skills: Setting up Cygwin environment on WinNT.

CVS administrator, Solaris administrator, Gygwin,

ported Windows Tcl to Unix Tcl, SNMP, network configuration for

testing of CM and CMTS. Creating and debugging of CM

configuration files for the various BPI, CMCI, MAC, OSS and SF

test required for DOCSIS1.0/1.1 qualification.

12/96

- 11/2000 -- AOA, Cambridge, MA

Sun4/Unix -- C, Tcl/Tk

After working as a

contractor

to AOA from 9/93 thru 12/96, I

was offered a full-time

position as an employee of AOA.

Developed more GUI code using Tcl/Tk and Perl/Tk. System

Admistrator for multiple Sun4 systems.

Special Skills: Tcl/Tk, Perl/Tk - GUI Development

9/93

- 12/96 -- Tech Aid, Boston, MA (consultant - see above)

Sun4/Unix -- C++, C, Tcl/Tk and microcode assembler.

Created Forth style interpreter (in microcode) which was

used for developing embedded communications software.

Developed lots of GUIs using Tcl/Tk. Developed HTML

documents as needed for diagnostic trouble shooting of

hardware and software. Performed duties of Unix Administrator.

Special Skills: Communication protocols, microcoding concepts,

Tcl/Tk - GUI Development, HTML document development.

4/93

- 9/93 -- Intellect Corp, Mililani, HI

PC/MS DOS -- C++.

Developed embedded (8051) GUI (using Zinc 3.1) for Air Traffic

Controller System. Helped port Borland C++ graphics library to

the 8051.

Special Skills: Zinc 3.1 multi-platform GUI development,

Borland C++.

6/92

- 1/93 -- Telerate Dow Jones, New Orleans, LA

Sun4/Unix PC/MS DOS -- C, C++ and Forth.

Upgraded Dow Jones/Telerate's Line Monitor/Debugger to

support debugging compressed data feeds (previously

only supported non-compressed data). Team member

responsible for developing the GUIs used in a Foreign

Exchange Trading System (system for trading foreign

currencies).

Special Skills: Communications Protocols and object oriented

design methodology.

8/91

- 6/92 -- Rockwell, Anaheim, CA

Sun 4, Silicon Graphics using Unix -- C and Ada.

Developed "Out the Window" view as seen by a aircraft.

Interfaced multiple Sun 4 computers to run above application

thereby providing multi-pilot fighter trainer simulation. Responsible

for developing terrain maps used in simulation. Provide

technical assistance to junior programmers in Ada

and C. Unix system administrator.

Special Skills: Graphical Programming using Silicon Graphics

personally to quickly develop and refine text

based interfaces for C-130 crew stations. Responsible for

developing 160 of 168 C-130 interfaces. This GUI building

application replaced the manual (labor intensive) editing of

text files. This tool allowed the C-130 Astronautics text

displays to be created in hours as opposed to weeks.

Automated unit testing of software modules to easily
