Automotive Project (September 2010- April 2011)Tuned the suspension geometry to get the best performance out of car.Simulated suspension system behavior in steady state and transient conditions.Performed compliance, camber and caster tests.Performed finite element analysis (FEA) using Pro Mechanica. Used lathe machine to produce various car parts. Compressor Gear Box Design (September-December 2010)

Designed a gear box to deliver 2.5hp from one cylinder four stroke engine to the compressorPerformed comprehensive calculations to come up with the most suitable and optimal bearing, coupling, gears and shaft design for the system2-D and 3-D drawings were developed which can be used for manufacturing.

Design and Development of Bolt Tightening End Effector (September-December 2009)

Requirement included tighten the bolt to a specific torque and no further and the device should also be able to work in reverse to loosen the nut. Also constraints were given for the battery and motor that can be used.Design and Analysis was completed with a team of four members by using a motor, designing a gear box, setting up sensors to shut off the device when the specified torque has reached.

Reverse Engineering Project (September-December 2008)

Designed and reverse engineered a bulldozer’s blade and connection arms using Pro/E design software and printed the model made of ABS plastic using a Dimension 3D printer. Developed the fundamental aspects of innovative design by using CAD software.

OTHER EXPERIENCES:

Carleton University Fitness Center (October 2010- March 2011)Assisted the patrons with their workout and enforced the Fitness Center rules

Mc Donald’s restaurant (July 2009- October 2010)Responsibilities included preparing restaurant menu items at a fast pace and under pressure to reduce customer waiting time.

ESSO; On the Run (May 2008- October 2009)Worked as a cashier, was responsible for surveillance, and balanced cash draw at close of shifts.
