Our prestigious clients include BDL, DMRL, DRD0, DLRL (Defense research organizations of Indian Government),ITC, Citicorp Securities.

Project:

Actively involved in the project life cycle of the ITG-Satellite Data Collection at Bharat Dynamics Limited. The objective is to observe the performance of I/O operations of data collected from the satellites. The project was divided into two parts: Performance & Administration. The model runs on four machines. A database server and 3 load servers producing a simulated load of 2000 users. The simulated users were generated using the Rational PreVue (v5) tools. The simulated load servers were on HP K400 with 4CPU's running HP-UX10.2 installed with Rational PreVue software. The near-production realistic work models were ported to these servers and played back for each test. Job Role: * Solaris 7 & Redhat Linux 5.2 installation from scratch, patches. * Capacity planning for memory, I/O, networking. * Configuring Veritas volumes, raw devices for Oracle, Oracle8.0.5 installation. * Setup TCP/IP, sub-netting, routing. * Cron jobs for performance monitoring, reports & incremental backups.

Hardware configuration: Sun Ultra E4000 with 4 CPU's connected to the LAN with fast Ethernet link. Four Sun A5000 on fiber-channel were used.

Software: Solaris 7 with Oracle8.0.5 was configured in a dedicated server model. We used VERITAS Database Edition for Oracle (1.1.2), which contains the following:

Sun Enterprise Volume Manager 2.5.2, VxFS 3.2.2, VERITAS Quick I/O 1.1.2, a device driver that allows VxFS to support databases with raw disk partitions.

COMAC * The objective of the COMAC is to facilitate remote administration for 10 to 15 rural telephone exchanges (RAX 256). All the rural exchanges are connected to the administration server via dc line modems. Once the COMAC is configured, all the rural exchanges can be administered from the central server unless there is a need for hardware maintenance. As a team member, I was actively involved in configuration planning, and performance testing apart from other regular jobs.

* Installation of wireless voice & data communication network from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam (500 miles approx.). The RF link was established using two HF (KENWOOD) transceivers and the transceivers & networks were interfaced using radio modems (BPL Skylink). As a team member I was active in software installation and sub-system interfacing. * Installation of RAX 256 (CDOT) at Vikas. As a team leader, my contribution was in directing the team at all levels of installation, system programming & testing. * Installation of MILT64 (ITI) & RAX 128 (CDOT) telephone exchanges at Vikas. As a team member, my contribution was in integration testing & system programming.

* Analysis and Simulation of turning process Computerization of tool selection (Tool material, tool signature) for machining / turning a particular work material by calculating various forces viz., cutting forces, radial and tangential forces. The computerized system helps operator to select a particular tool material, tool signature and also suggests optimum parameters (cutting speed, feed rate and depth) for corresponding work material readily.
