the United States. As the Manager of the Systems Operations I was responsible

for a team of system administrators that managed and maintained the production

environment at Edmunds.com. The team was also the nucleus of a massive site,

hardware and software migration of the Edmunds enterpise. The migration included

a physical move from a managed facility in Virginia to a new state-of-the-art

facility in downtown Los Angeles - A hardware move from Sun servers with EMC

SANs to Dell servers with NetApp Filers - A software move that included going

from Solaris to Linux, Oracle 9 to Oracle 10gRAC and Weblogic 7 to WebLogic 8.

consisting of Red Hat 9 Linux, FreeBSD 4.5, PostgreSQL 7.x, Apache 2.0.x,

JBoss and Jetty. We use apt-rpm to manage and deploy all servers (~40), deploy

Contract - Equala Communications provides highly available high performance

Internet infrastructure to its various customers. Equala specializes in domain

hosting, email hosting and email digital marketing resources (including

campaign design and deployment). My duties at Equala include installation,

configuration and management of over 100 Linux servers in various colocation

facilities. Technologies in use include Redhat Linux 7.3, Apt, Bind, PowerMTA,

Apache, Sendmail and Nagios (formerly NetSaint).

SysAdm/Web DesignerMarsMusic.comApril 2002 - Oct 2002 - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Contract - Marsmusic.com is the ecommerce website for Mar Music, a music and

recording retail change with 40+ stores throughout the United States. As one of

two Solaris Administrators my duties include full responsibility of the

production and test environment for the website. The production site includes

2 Sun E4500 servers running Oracle 8i, 3 Sun E450's running ATG Dynamo

Application Server, two E250's running Netscape Enterpise Web Server and 2 Free

BSD servers running BIND and Sendmail respectively.

Duties included managing LAN and WAN environment between the Miami office and

offices in the UK/Australia. I was responsible for AIX/NT/Linux development

machines and Linux production servers.

Built and managed Global Partners internal Citrix application servers, which

ran all production applications. I was also the lead Citrix integrator for

The Data Communications department at the University of Connecticut is

responsible for the building and maintaining of the campus WAN for the

University. As a network tech responsibilities included network wiring,

network device installs, network outage troubleshooting. DataComm was

responsible for troubleshooting any network outage incidents. These incidents

ranged from small (only a few people are experiencing the outage) to nearly

campus wide. Understanding both Token Ring and Ethernet was critical for all

WAN troubleshooting as well as for the eventual transition to 100% Ethernet.
