business venture through the GLOBE Program. Assisted with the start-up of SWAT a group-owned importing and
exporting company with a primary focus on Aero bars.
Instrumental in defining group goals and determining a profitable project direction. Recommended Areo
bars as the primary product for importing and exporting based on extensive research.
Investigated and negotiated with international vendors and suppliers to reduce costs and maximize
profits while overseeing and directing all aspects of imports and exports.

Capstone Project 2012
UOIT Edge Capstone Study Project
Applied theory to practice for this capstone project, working with 7 group members, researched and recommended
a strategic social media strategy for Facebook. Presented findings to the VP and other executives of CMA Ontario.
Helped establish the project parameters, increasing the focus and clarity of the project, providing direction
for other group members.
Contacted executives from CMA Ontario, pitched the project idea, gaining their support and collaboration.
Conducted extensive research into CMA and social media marketing initiatives and presented research and
findings to CMA personnel and executives.
Created and analyzed strategic surveys geared toward extracting relevant information and areas for
improvements in CMA Ontario`s social media strategy. Surveys formed the basis for research and project
direction. Collaborated with professors to distribute the surveys to over 500 individuals.
Helped prepare detailed recommendations for a Facebook page and marketing plan focused on increasing
awareness and exposure of CMA Ontario and dispelling false perceptions (as found through survey
research) surrounding CMA designations.
