AUSTIN (KXAN) - If Austinite Javier Davila doesn't find a job sometime soon, you
can't blame his lack of ingenuity. Davila, 37, stood at the corner
of
U.S.
Highway 183 and Braker Lane in North Austin Wednesday with a
simple sign that read "Free Resumes."
As Davila handed out his resumes to drivers passing by, they
also read on his sign that he wasn't asking for change, "only
luck."
"I'm hoping that somebody will pick it up and pass it on to
somebody that they know," said Davila. Davila said he has 15 years
worth of architectural draftsman experience and is looking for any
kind of solid work during this recession.
"I'm going to get a certain amount of publicity for it," said
Davila. "That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a job,
and all I need is one."
You can contact Davila by e-mailing ******.******@*****.***.
Do you know of any other people looking for work in creative
ways? We'd love to know! Feel free to discuss.
