WORK EXPERIENCE

HEB Manufacturing Safety Manager, HEB Manufacturing Division, San Antonio, Texas Nov.2005 to Oct. 2012

• Develop strategic plans and policies to guide HEB Manufacturing Division (13 Plants/2000 employees)

towards OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) designation.

• Research, develop and implement specialized job hazard analysis, industrial hygiene testing, and safety

guidelines for manufacturing processes to develop a culture of safety through education and training.

• Supervised 13 Plant Safety Coordinators and Safety Committees in managing site specific safety

programs to sustain solid results in a safety, proactive, driven culture.

• Coordinate and conduct quarterly safety and health audits of each Plant’s safety program. Produce a

comprehensive and analytical report to identify gaps and trends to develop corrective action plans.

• Research, develop and implement safety and sanitation standards specific to each Plant.

• Develop, coordinate and conduct internal quality audits on a quarterly basis of all HEB Manufacturing

Merit Site.

• Attended Business Excellence training, six-sigma, and learn techniques that are utilized to make quality,

safety, and cost improvements on current processes.

• Researched and develop Behavior Based Safety training modules.
