Duties included preparing quantities for Detail Concrete & Site-work

takeoffs and cost proposals for complete project, budgeting system and

materials, reviewing contract documents for completeness and feasibility.

Competitively bidding projects and buying out contracts while making sure

that we meet all specifications and that samples are to code. Coordination

and administration of site exploration programs, field testing, economic

analysis, planning and feasibility studies, analysis and design of site

layout, drainage, utilities and structure, perform and geotechnical

analysis and design required for multi-disciplined projects. Responsible

for solicitation and evaluation of vendor's proposals, purchasing,

expediting, contract administration and supervision of procurement staff on

each project. Developed computerized purchasing status reporting system

which enabled company to track all purchases from placement of initial

order through delivery to various job sites. Responsible for implementing a

computerized network system for the Estimating Department, as well as

revised and installed an estimating database consisting of approximately

Project Engineer/Estimator

Worked on the construction of a large-scale cement plant that produced over

3 million tons per year. Duties included but not limited to preparing

estimates, subcontracting, engineering support, field supervision, monthly

estimates, project cost control and change orders. The construction of the

cement plant included the residential colony for the employees, concrete

access roads for the plant and streets, as well as plant drainage, marine

piers for the shipyards, deep caissons, concrete decks, boulder walls along

the sea to protect coastal erosion. Chimneys approximately 400 meters high

and silos with slip techniques, conveyor belt foundations & substructures.

Pre-heater building was approximately 110 meters high, limestone storage

yard, crusher building, retaining walls, ramps construction. Total cost of

the construction for this project was roughly $225,000,000.

India

Construction Field Engineer (Project Engineer)

Worked on the construction of a concrete lined irrigation canal. Duties

included but not limited to supervision, quality control, as-built

measurements, filling Change Orders, progress schedule of excavation,

subsurface preparation, compaction, concrete lining, siphons, aqueducts,

head regulators, cross regulators, Bridges, overpass construction. Total

cost of the construction for this project was $42,000,000.
