systems.

be used in the blancher to reduce steam usage.

. Analyzed a blanching and frying system to determine
overall capacity. This analysis will be used by
engineering to find bottle necks in the systems and
develop future capital projects needed for line
extensions. I utilized excel spreadsheets to develop
this tool and this system will be adopted by the
production department to make better decisions about
line needs.
. Analyzed the boiler systems to determine efficiency.
The spreadsheet is used by the engineering department
to understand the costs per pound of steam.
. Developed a project to improve the efficiency of the
Flake process by utilizing auto scrapping of the
drums and auto bagging of the product once dried. The
production of waste will be reduced by 80%.
. Designed an oiling system for a steam peeler bearing
allowing the maintenance department to reduce
maintenance costs and increase life of the bearing.
. Created flow charts for the Flake process and the
Auto Defect Removal system.
. Assisted the plant Project Engineer with numerous
capital projects.
