Project #1

Title : PROJECT STATUS INFORMATION SYSTEM

Description : The project status information system deals with the

various levels of project development and will account for time used in

analysis, design, programming, testing and verification etc.

It gives the management a clear picture of usage of time by projects i.e.

utilized time and unutilized time. By analyzing the results provided by

the software they might rectify the defects in utilizing time and take

remedial actions.

Title: ALWAYS ACYCLIC DISTRIBUTED PATH COMPUTATION

Description: Distributed routing algorithms may give rise to transient

loops during path re computation, which can pose significant stability

problems in high speed networks. A new algorithm, distributed Path

Computation with Intermediate variables, which can be combined with any

distributed routing algorithm to guarantee that the directed graph

induced by the routing decisions remains acyclic at all times. The key

contribution of DIV, besides its ability to operate with any routing

algorithm, is an update mechanism using simple message exchanges between

neighboring nodes that guarantees loop freedom at all times. The routing

seeks robustness against failures by maximizing the number of next hops

available at each node for each destination.
