Polystyrene Laboratory [SPS Pilot Plant (HIPS/GPPS) and EPS Bench Scale

Reactor]:

Operates, monitor and control the assigned work area (EPS and SPS) through

Invensys Wonderware Intouch SCADA station safely and efficiently.

Overall in-charge of a safe polymerization process (both continuous and

batch).

Responsible in plant start-up, shutdown and emergencies as per established

procedures.

Diagnose plant upsets and prevents the recurrence.

Handling of Hydrocarbons in a proper safe procedure.

Maintain appropriate records and documentations of all plant activities.

Completes shift report electronically using MS Outlook 2007 for

correspondence purposes to all concerned personnel in the group noting the

state of all plant condition, corrective action taken and highlighting

other items of the plant that needs further attention.

Operates EPS beads pre-expansion machine and EPS block molding machine for

product evaluation.

Prepares MJR (Maintenance Job Request) through SAP.

> Performs product quality test, such as:

a) Melt Flow Index (Gottfert Melt Indexer Model MP)

b) Rubber Particle Size (HORIBA Laser Scaterring Particle Size

Performs process sampling prior to confirming batch stability.

In-charge in hydrocarbon (Styrene) sampling from the delivery truck and

storage tank prior to ensuring Styrene quality before storage.

Takes action in the case of plant/batch upsets as per the instruction of
