Operations Improvement
Project Management
Restored obsolete Equipment to full productive capacity. Results: Reduced installation time of new
equipment by 50%, saved $1M in costs.
PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE
Relocated Equipment from other plants to a centralized plant to accommodate new business, saving at
least 1/2 of total line cost.
Process Improvement
Implemented a new process to reduce cycle time through machine movements and speed. Results:
Increased production by 40%, improved quality, saved $1.5M eliminating need to buy a new machine.
Manpower Management
Performed weekly meetings to address and solve personnel problems. Results: Reduced Turnover 3.5%
to 1%, improved morale and productivity.
High Volume Production
Added a second floor plan to stack up process carts, use same floor space area, as production was
doubled, only a small modification to carts were made . Results: Avoided building construction by
expending $100K instead of $1M.
Product Development
Controlled all new parts coming for a new product by developing a chart where you can see easily each
part of the products, and then having the opportunity to grab an existing part from an old product. Results:
Reduced the part set up, inventory and design of new molds, involving costs of $500K.
Cost Reduction
Resolved issues of associates working under pressure conditions and without adequate tools or good
environment conditions. Results: Scrap automatically went down every month from being 10% to 1%.
Lean Manufacturing
Implemented frequent machine supports change every 15 days instead of replacing them when
maintenance sees the equipment started to fail and scraped the product after process it. Results: Saved
200K scrap reduction vs replacements costs of only $60K annually.
Customer Relationship Mgt
Instituted a scrap ramp up plan on every new product introduction to have 1st month with 100% shade
trainer, 2nd month with 50% of back up and the other 50% being re-inspected and finally the 3rd month
by itself. Results: Reduced PPM or ranking by 50% each customer provide to their suppliers.

requirements of the quality system ISO/TS-16949:2002. Reduced problems inside the plant or at the customer’s
site (Chrysler assy plant).
Investigated main defects through a detail analysis (7 Step, 6 Sigma, etc.) of the problem, using statistical,
dimensional, chemical, physical data, try outs.
Used Computer simulation to analyze the casting process of the aluminum pouring using mathematical models.
Conducted presentations at customer's plant for trial results and main actions items for scrap reduction.
Compiled monthly reports given to FIAT Corporative (Italy), to customer (Chrysler) and to the financial department
