Working with new Microsoft Surface Tablet. Performing

imaging of solid state drive, performing Bluetooth and 802.11

automated testing using labtool with batch files and LabView

with test flow scripts along with LitePoint IQ2010

Connectivity Test System. Testing of Surface tablet both at

board level and assembled unit in RF isolated chamber and

stand alone bench testing. Measuring RF cable path loss

using Signal Analyzer. Modifying LabVIEW scripts to make them

Development Engineering Technician, July 2010 - March, 2012, Ambient ID

Inc., Gig Harbor, WA.

Work with RFID tag reader systems for hospitals and medical labs to

keep track of medical samples.

Draw Schematics with EagleCAD as well as drawing flow charts using

Visio or Dia.

Research and order parts for new prototype boards.

Populate and solder prototype boards for engineering tests.

Create test cables for custom LCD and inverter connections.

Designed and troubleshooting new test fixtures as well as

creating the software to control test fixtures.

Designed new test fixture which included adding a Bluetooth

automated test to the software by using an external Bluetooth

application provided by Intermec's mobile device engineers.

Modified existing code to work with new test fixture.

Used Visual Studio 2003 C++ with MFC framework as the development platform

which used some C++ classes, but

was mostly C.

Designed a PCB using Protel DXP (Design Explorer) Cad package and had

Prototron Circuits make the PCB.

Designed and built a USB field service box to make updating firmware of a

RFID reader device in the field easier.

Worked with engineers locally and overseas to help setup test stations and

resolve any problems encountered during

the initial setup of the test stations as well as resolving any other

problems associated with the test station including

modifying the test software if needed.

Designing and implementing new Print On Demand labels for final products;

this included changes to current

labels as well as implementing new labels or creating new printing stations

as needed.

Creating software for Print On Demand stations which included converting

Demand labels.

Fixed a custom parallel port switch box when it shut the line down.
