Bachelor's degree) Minor in Oceanography. Seeking a new

career field because the 24/7 nature of Meteorology is not

healthy for a family. Willing to leave weather behind as a

09.2010 - Present Senior Flight Planner / Aviation Meteorologist,

Rockwell Collins (Sector: Aviation, Specialization: Preparation for

Operation, Role: Consultant)

Participant in many Lean / Six Sigma Events and Action

Items, including measurement, assessment and evaluation of

Lean metrics. Operate various windows based computer

applications, with a focus on Flight Manager, Skyplan, and

various other flight planning reporting engines. Read,

interpret, manipulate and analyze detailed en-route charts,

satellite imagery, and aerial statistics. Improve route

optimizations on a daily basis around the globe. Prepare

and deliver computerized flight plans under strict

deadlines. Build and proof routes in Skyplan, map routes

using JeppView and Jetplanner. Work Independently and on

multiple multi-team projects. Complete multiple tasks

simultaneously, including "hurry up" situations that must

be solved immediately. Interface with and advise clients

in the trip-planning process. Maintain, input, edit,

correct and manage individual client aircraft databases.

08.2008 - 12.2009 Research Scientist, Texas A&M University, Department

of Oceanography (Sector: Research / Development,

Participant in major research project involving climate

changes. Investigated ancient atmospheric dust and fish

debris by core samples. Radiogenic Isotope Geosciences

Collins

An ongoing department improvement program that involves

action items. I specifically assisted in standardizing

macros for the Operations Departments email that saved an

estimated 0.2 FTE per day.

07.2011 - Present Lean Value Stream - Flight Planning, Rockwell

Collins

Another ongoing department improvement project that

discovered waste and action items to reduce the waste. I

specifically mapped out exactly what the department does on

a minute by minute basis to gather the most accurate

initial conditions. In a team environment, I created a SOP

that assisted in standardizing the waste free environment.
