Experience: Operation Support and Service OSS

Army Corps of Engineering, Engineering Management, Kirkuk-Iraq - 2005 .

While I was working for OSS with Army Corps of Engineer, my title was Bilingual-

Bicultural Advisor( BBA) in Engineering field.

I was provincial Reconstruction Team ( PRT ) member and I had the following duties:

1. Supervising installation of Electrical Power Plant and its maintenance with military

team in Kirkuk.

2. Supervising Distribution of Electrical Energy in the region.

3. Managing Electrical Contractors, such as network maintenance&renovation projects,

supplying suburbs&villages with Electrical Power and Power distribution projects.

4. Translating Engineering documents related to infrastructure projects from English into

Arabic and vice versa.

5. Meeting with Iraqi Engineers and Iraqi Contractors and translating the ideas&views to

Army Corps of Engineer.

6. Attend meetings between Kirkuk Governor, City Council Chairman and American

Army to perform immediate translation in both Arabic and Kurdish.

7. Attend City Council meetings every week and then providing reports to Military staff

concerning all issues discussed in the meeting such us; political, social, cultural,economy, security, education, the status of infrastructure projects and many other

issues.

1.I was a main person in translating variety of documents from English into Arabic and

vice versa.

2.Translating interrogations between prisoners and Military investigators.

3. Translating meetings held between Iraqi police officers and US Military staffs.
