● Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the AN/SPS-48E(V) 3D air search radar, subsystems, and
support systems
● Operates the radar consoles and associated equipment in support of the ship's weapons system in a
tactical situation and during test and evaluation
● interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, plumbing and valve drawings and
technical manuals
● Load, initialize, and run preprogrammed diagnostics, performance and testing routines for digital
computer equipment, digital systems, digital subsystems, and overall combat systems
