Nissan North America Smyrna, TN Parts Quality Engineering co-op 5/11-4/12

• Assisted with dimensional data analysis of parts and verification on part

gauges. Reviewed PPAP/PSW,FMEA,Control Plan, warranty improvement plan

submissions from tier 1 suppliers.

• Tracked budget and progression of the Infiniti JX Parts Quality Engineering

team during the pre-launch and launch of the 2013 Infiniti JX crossover vehicle.

• Assembled an Access database of parts, dimensional data, quality concerns,

countermeasures, etc. An excel workbook produced reports for upper

management, weekly presentations.

• Responsibilities also include acting as liaison between the Smyrna, TN and

Mexican Part Quality Engineering team for parts manufactured in Mexico.

Tasks include hazardous waste removal, lab clean up and making sure that all

safety systems are functional, includes lab and work safety training.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Thermoelectric Dehumidifier Design Project

Team leader in design team designing a thermoelectric dehumidifier as an

alternative to a conventional apparatus. The prototype was built and tested to

verify it’s high efficiency.

Heat Transfer Modeling

Led a team in creating a computer model using COMSOL to simulate heat

transfer through cylindrical rods of varying materials in an attempt to find the

composition of the rods. Experiments were run, data gathered and used in this

simulation.

ROV Design Project

Designed an underwater remote operated vehicle with the capacity to maneuver

through a maze and perform tasks underwater such as picking up an object and

capping a water hose leak. Budget and dimension constraints were met.
