PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCES
Key Achievements:
- Successfully managed the social activities. Involved in development of
business in sales & marketing and strategy fixing.
- Instrumental in the producing & selling of Coal & Coal Products. Steered
in- depth study of high power bill and breakdown of coal winning
machineries; found that about 60 mining projects were maintaining their
individual store with negligible coordination between other projects;
formulated a system of collecting all surplus spares at a centralized
place and fed as per need of projects.
- Formulated a preventive maintenance schedule and oversaw the
implementation of the same.
- Conducted training sessions for machine operators to ensure minimization
of idle run of machines.
- Raised machine availability by 15%. Reduced power bill by 10% by
introducing capacitor banks and reducing maximum demand. Improved power
factor from 0.78 to 0.82.
- Resolved the problem of failure of commissioning of Thermal Power
Station:
V It was a Fluidized Bed Washery Rejects Fired Boiler & the injecting
nozzles were getting choked very frequently.. Ultimately found that
the boiler was designed to accept 60 to 65% ash contents of washery
rejects but actually got 80-85% ash content causing coglumeration at
the nose tip. Managed to collect washery rejects in between washed
coal & ultimate rejects
V The local people also put agitation demanding employment in the plant
Engaged local people on contract for the job and the plant is running
satisfactorily.
- Deputed to study the poor availability of ropeway meant for sand
transport & identified causes for suggesting remedies to regain capacity
of the Ropeway. The results were as follows:
V Availability of sand was poor & seasonal. Local miscreants created
problems by derailing the buckets and made falling those on their ill
cropped land, and demanding high compensation for minimum loss of
crops.
V Applied some managerial tool & persuaded local miscreants. Some
developmental works in nearby villages were taken and also managed to
make a cross dam to restrict sand flow & ensured sand availability for
a longer period.
A 33 KV Transmission Line was to be constructed to open a new mine and
acted as an In-charge for the construction of the same
V Erected few poles when the local people started agitating demanding
employment for each pole erected and to be erected; they partly agreed
but while executing the issue went to the hands of some politicians
and worsen the situation. Ultimately the project was suspended for a
long.
