HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVMENTS
When promoted to IT Director of Global Store Systems at GameStop, the store systems team was stripped of all senior resources to start a new digital group and there was no team to support the international POS code. I was left with 2 FTE developers, which later I coached out of the organization due to poor performance. Within 1 year I re-built a solid develop team hiring contractors that excelled and recruiting large local company`s senior resources, where the retail POS group was being dissolved. I did this through years of retail experience and contacts. My strength was developing business relationships thru trust and delivery.
In late 2010 I created a project to combine the domestic and international POS code lines to enable the business and IT to deploy and support a single POS version to any US or international store based on configuration. This project also included the full translation of the POS to French rolled out in Canada for language compliance. Rolled out on time and on budget.
Product selection team lead, developed POC, and gathered requirements for first European country implementation of the Navision ERP customized solution. Recruited, trained, developed team of Navision developers and support staff. Implemented 3 European regions (12 countries) on the new ERP solution supporting user training, nightly posting jobs, and development standards.
Created new Navision development standards, support SLA`s, prioritized new business user requests for enhancements in releases. Assisted engineering team in sizing hardware requirements for implementation of application and SQL servers.
Took over MovieStop Project as it was in disarray due to the GameStop resources assigned unfamiliar with the Navision application and lack of business engagement. I was task with providing MovieStop a clean 2004 Q4 for key sales season. This was accomplished as there were 0% posting errors and very few store POS errors reported. Commended by CIO for this effort.
At GameStop I developed a POC for the Google Wallet interface with NFC technology interfaced with our proprietary POS. This was successfully developed however funding and association with Google was pulled by the president of GameStop. We were ready to demonstrate the technology to the Google executives and at the public launch in NYC.
While at Retalix US, Inc., created, recruited resources, and developed standards for functional requirements documents and presented functionality and managed tier 1 clients.
